Hey Billy,
I would like to take this oppotunity to explain what happened with me and netframework 3.5 for I am the person who had Hoster crash using XP after an install of netframework SP1 (boy I messed up).

See it was late and I was trying to help someone on the forum who told me they were using netframework 3.5. Well I did a search on the Microsoft update page and it sent me to netframework 3.5 SP1. I did not notice this and installed it anway.

In my opinion since I did not have netframework 3.5 installed, the Service Pack One should not have installed, WRONG, it did!

MTU looked into netframework 3.5 and found no problems with using it. I'm having great success with netframework 3 and see no reason to upgrade yet. This is my personal opinion.

Jim

Billy,
I caused the whole mess by intalling 3.5 SP1 without having 3.5 installed first.

Windows update is delivering 3.0. When it delivers 3.5 I will install it.

Sorry for the confusion Bill, thanks as always.

Jim
