[quote=billyo;84188]i thought it was the other way around..i have xp and wmp 11, and i havent experienced all the problems some of them are having ( except for the garbeld title/artist at the beginning of a song on sav's and nikodo's, which to me is not a big deal ) if i am wrong ..i stand corrected[/quote

Billy,
Lots of people are running wmp11 on XP without any problems. But the Hoster Manual recommends wmp9 for XP and wmp11 for vista.
Like I said lots of people don't have a problem with wmp11, but I did. I guess the rule is if you have no problems, stay with what works for you.

Actually, the Manual says "WMP9 or Higher" on XP. You can use which ever one works best on your computer.

Skybird Where do you perform in SW Florida???? I just might drop in next time through the Naples, Punta Gorda area, if that's close to you.

I'm in the Ft.Myers area but only working part-time right now in Veterans' and other clubs and singing for a lot of dinner dances for the over 80 crowd, as well as private parties - no steady karaoke gigs right now. I am considering a steady Friday at a new restaurant in East Ft.Myers. (I used to sing & do Karaoke 5 nights a week (7 during the holidays) for almost 10 years in Pasco County before we moved here after my husband retired.)
I think we should be doing this in private e-mails.

As I said, some people have no problems with XP and wmp11. I had lots, when I reported the problem to MTU support the first thing they had me do was to remove wmp11 and go back to 9. This got rid of ninty percent of the problems I had. IF I were starting an new XP 4.xx load from scratch, wmp9 would be the a better bet then 11. Just my opinion.
