my laptop freezes up every time i download the new microstudio i'm using plextor px-w4824a xp pro when i try to import cdg disc the plextor dose not close and a prompt comes up please insert disc . not a happy bunny gone back to previous copy and it works perfect so it's not the laptop or my plextor hope someone can help

you must close the plextor drive yourself. it no longer closes by itself.

thanks for the answer to that part of my question now the problem is when i close the draw and go to read disc the hole program and my laptop freezes up and can't shutdown
As before iv'e gone back to my old microstudio and it works perfect

Have you checked for Windows updates?

Is the Firmware for the Plextor drive the current version?
(Should be Version 1.07 if I looked it up right.)

Since this was a major upgrade for Microstudio including the changes to add more drives that is where I would look first for problems.
