Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

I'm having a problem with my background now. I have it on a 3 second fade and it studders while closing, Anyone else have this problem? I've been using Breakaway the last couple weeks which has auto audio gain controls, love it. Anyway it was fine until this update...

John

What is "Breakaway"?

Has everyone re checked their operating system settings as recommended by MTU prior to completing the upgrade?

Re: Hoster 5.06 Bug Reports

Did you follow the instructions regarding setting your Power Management set to "Max Application Performance"
Also in the Tools menu - Audio Controls command dialog a new "Audio Dropouts..." control should be defaulted to 10. Setting it higher may help.

Regarding your Breakaway software I can only say see what happens if you dissable it. I did try it myself but it does try and overide Hoster settings.

Re: Hoster 5.06 Bug Reports

Roy I uninstalled 5.06 and went back to my 5.05 and don't have any problems. This is the site for Breakaway. http://www.claessonedwards.com/index...d=46&Itemid=59
It's great little progam. It has a free 30 trial period, see if you have any problems with it and 5.06.

Re: Hoster 5.06 Bug Reports

There is one warning Roy, if you download this, plan on paying 29.95 for it later. Theres no going back afterwards, it's that sweet...

Re: Hoster 5.06 Bug Reports

I tried it some weeks ago, don't want it, found it caused a few hick ups because it tries to adjust it's own volume and affected fades and messes with settings when you set different volume settings for different things like instabuttons and background audio.
I can get all the Audio affects through my mixer without adding to processing power that a software based system uses.

Re: Hoster 5.06 Bug Reports

That's what the "range" on Breakaway is for. If you set it at 40, and your Hoster background at 20 then your background audio is at 60%. I have no problems with the 5.05. Did you try it with 5.06, if so then there's the problem I'm talking about, the hickups...

Johnpyle
This thread is really for 5.06 bugs reporting. Don't really want to fill it up with discussion on other software.
I notice you don't have your private messaging enabled other wise I would discuss this through that.

Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

Lonnie, sounds like you got the bugs out using both breakaway and 5.06. What did you find out, or do?

Actually no , 5.06 is not working properly on my show machine. Had to revert back to 5.05 until I figure it out. However Breakaway isn't working well with it either, had to do some readjustments in the Breakaway settings to get it sound ok - not great. Not what it was sounding like with 5.03.

Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

I was having problems with Cyberlink conflicting with Hoster. Since I removed it things have been fine until 5.06...
