Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

Lonnie I reinstalled my Breakaway also. It took most of my problems away except the fade...I had a bunch of things going wacky before that...

Lonnie, sounds like you got the bugs out using both breakaway and 5.06. What did you find out, or do?

Actually no , 5.06 is not working properly on my show machine. Had to revert back to 5.05 until I figure it out. However Breakaway isn't working well with it either, had to do some readjustments in the Breakaway settings to get it sound ok - not great. Not what it was sounding like with 5.03.

Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

I was having problems with Cyberlink conflicting with Hoster. Since I removed it things have been fine until 5.06...

Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

Having been around this forum for quite some time now I also recall much banter in the past about AGC...but it seems that other items took precedence over the addition of this feature....I for one have always wished it would have been added to the features in Hoster....over the course of twenty years of acquiring karaoke files there are many karaoke files that have differing gain levels that you must be there at your mixer console when a song change occurs to ride the gain control....or take each problem karaoke file you encounter and split the mp3 file away and run it through a mp3 gain processor and then reload to hoster

Or try Breakaway for now. Works on the fly, no need to change each file.

Haven't tried it with 2 audio cards. Whatever is your normally your default card I believe it should route through that one, could be wrong though.

Re: Breakaway SW doesn't work with 5.06

you have to install something called the breakaway pipeline and make it the default audio card

Right, but in the Breakawy setting syou should be able to choose the actual sound card for output. Breakaway is an inline processor, it still uses one of the sound cards, but in multiple instances, you need to point which one Breakawy uses through settings.
Open the main Breakaway window. Right click & choose settings. Output should have your sound cards listed. Pick & click finish.
