Joe, I am trying to understand your problem, but I can't.
You can select any number of songs in the multiple edit screen and providing you leave genre & language fields blank (or any of the other perimeters Blank) then version 4.11 doesn't change those fields. If you do choose to change language and leave duet fields and all other fields blank then it will only change language on the chosen fields.
That's how it works on the testing I've done. What exactly are you trying to change without changing any thing else ?
