If there is a problem with any file while this process is running there should be at least an error text file written indicating what files where in error. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Answer Quote:
Responce Not So I saw the entire process take place at my computer and I never saw an error message of any kind over 1 Hr. Right now there's no way I could know what went wrong with what file or what I could do to fix it, this is not good. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Answer Quote:
Responce Not So I didn't know there was an error till the entire process completed and then I saw that General Posible error message which was NOT Specific to the Cause and Origin of the problem. I posted the message in my previous post. Answer Quote:
Responce How can I do That when I don't know which file had the problem? Answer Quote:
Responce I have to check that one out, but if there is no error txt file how can I fined out? Answer Quote:
Responce Do you mean Audio files? Or do you mean that all the files I had in my HD before I purchased Hoster will have to be ripped again using Hoster because they won't work properly in the Hoster program? Responce I have no choice in this you are force to change it if it is defferent from what you need. And if you don't it will write it to the file wrong. (Genre & Language) You may need to experiance this Dale to fully understand. If you are updating 100 files with 3 Languages and 10 Genres you are forced to process that operation 10 times to get through that batch where as if you had the option then the process is one operation to complete times 1000's of files it will get very time consuming. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Answer Quote:
Yes your right. But that is NOT the problem, if your working on a Brand that has multiple Genre and Languages and you Don't Need To Change them you are force to because Genre And Language are set to Always Write To File Even If It's Wrong. Answer Quote:
Well In Access....YES There Is In Hoster.......You Are Correct But that is not the issue here. The issue is that the program doesn't allow you the option of not using the Genre & Language it ALWAYS WRITE EVEN IF IT's WRONG. I hope this clears it up? Joe.... |
1. Yes it should Cancel. This could be a bug, but I have never tried to stop it.
2. If your drive(s) are correctly attached and the right letter, then the only one left is Read Only and in this case you don't have to know which file it is. Go to the folder they are in Select all, right click on the group and go to properties. Click on Read Only at the bottom to clear the box and click OK. 3. Same as above. No I don't mean just Audio files. And no you will not have to re-rip any files. Just make sure none are set to read only. This is an option you can change on any file. 4. & 5. OK. I can't argue this one now that I understand what you are talking about. I have also run into this problem with selecting a group and having it change the Genre. All of mine are listed as English so I don't have that problem. I'll bring this one up to MTU. |
Hi Dale
Thanks for your reply The Genre and Language should be set up to Apply When Needed this way if you Don't Need To Change Anything In These Two You Don't Have To. In My Case I have (6) six different languages and I understand that your product sell world wide so I believe this one is important. Thanks again Joe.... |
Agree and have reported it. Hopefully they can get it changed before the next release.

The fact is that this has not been corrected at all as of today, what has been done is a little message put at the lower right hand corner written in Red stating; Note: Language and Genre will be set if they are not blank, Just the statment and not the option was done. You can't blank the two fields in question here and there are no options to accomplish this at All. Why was I told it was done in Version 4.10 4.11 when in reality it was Never Done at all, and then closed the thread, after many post pursuing this much needed issue to be improved? What is going on here? I'm I doing something wrong or is there a setting I have to set to make this possible. Thank You Joe.... |
Joe, I am trying to understand your problem, but I can't.
You can select any number of songs in the multiple edit screen and providing you leave genre & language fields blank (or any of the other perimeters Blank) then version 4.11 doesn't change those fields. If you do choose to change language and leave duet fields and all other fields blank then it will only change language on the chosen fields. That's how it works on the testing I've done. What exactly are you trying to change without changing any thing else ? Roy. |

If at that point you add anything in any of the fields it will change that field only for all of the selected files when you click Apply. All the rest stay what they were. This does not apply to the Select Single button since in single all current information is entered in the fields. So you see this was fixed because it would not do that in 4.06. |
Ok, I see now how this works and the confusing part is that the Note did not indicate that in order for this option to activate you need to select more the one file.
If the cursor is on one file you'll see the two fields populated with their corresponding data, so I guess you're able to call up a DiscID and edit all it's tracks one at a time or if you select as a group then that feature will be automatically activated, did I get this correct? Thank you for helping me to understand this feature. One thing though it would have been easier if a small paragraph was noted. "you need to select more then one file to activate this feature". Thanks again. Roy & ddouglass Joe... ps What about Language I need "Hindi" added I ask about this I believe two years ago. |
That I don't know about.
|
Thanks ddouglass
Any word on the language field I need to add "Hindi" to the list. Joe.... |
