Hoster Database - PLEASE help...

I run Hoster on my laptop and have all of my songs on an external drive. The laptop died last week. I bought another computer this weekend. I downloaded - reinstalled - registered Hoster.

My question is, how do I get my database back? Please tell me there is a way to do this other than importing them all over again (I have THOUSANDS). My songs are both KMA and MP3G.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Plug in your external drive then go to Tool > Songs Database and click on the "Rebuild" button. Select the folder on your exteranl drive where your KMA's are located. Delete any other folders that are present. Then click on the "Rebuild Database" Button.

This should get you going.

Thanks for the quick reply.

My songs aren't all in one folder. For example, I have E:/karaoke/Sound Choice where the Sound Choice tunes are, and E:/karaoke/Top Hits Monthly , etc etc. They are all on the same drive. Do I select every folder under E:/karaoke ?

And will my songbooks have the same book id numbers?

I keep all of my KMA files in one folder. I think you will have to select every folder that has KMA files in it. Hoster has to know where the files are located.

Have you already imported your MP3G's into the database? If so, yes they will be there.
