I just left a not so nice email to the mtu ticket people...I'm sick of them...
why should they get paid when it's the forum that really helps...?

I'll let you know....maybe I'll try to then restore it to a date that maybe I screwed it up...SIGH>>>>>.....

thank you...
Michelle, please understand that you are NOT "restoring" your computer again. Now you want to UNDO what you did. Please read the "SystemRestore" instructions carefully before pressing anything.

As to MTU - first of all, it's Thanksgiving. How many other companies do you know that are even working? We pay MTU for creating these programs & making thousands of customers happy by constantly upgrading & incorporating our ideas into their new programs. Their Support, in my opinion, is the best of any company I have ever worked with in the past 30+ years. However, if they had a large support department that does nothing but answer our e-mails & phone calls, I am sure MTU's programs would be a lot more expensive than they are. Frequently there are users on this Forum who are more than happy to take their time & help. Admin. does read the Forum & will jump in and help or respond to you directly, whenever necessary.

no honey...you aren't understanding....
I don't expect anyone to 'Jump'.....I got this computer in Sept. and haven't been able to use it since then.....I tried to contact people over and over again....and have waited literally months for a reply ....when I called and left messages on the phones asking for help ...not one call back..or not one private message....it's not that I'm at my wit's end after a couple days or a couple weeks...it's been a couple months....

I restored the MTU...and I thank you for that. I still have problems with getting the disk to read and with doing anything with it.
and now I know it's an enternal problem. so lets see if they will contact me about it...

not trying at all to be a pain in the butt...but if you bought something for over 2000. and couldn't get it to work for you ...it would be like you just wasted your money....

I hope my tomorrow goes better.....

Hi Michelle, perhaps I can help you. It must be frustrating to be in your position. If you would like to call me, I can private message you my phone number and perhaps walk you thru step by step in exactly what you are trying to do. Let me know?

thanks,

perhaps tomorrow...but when I am going and opening hoster ...going to import songs and import cd tracks...it doesn't read the brand cds (like it did before) or the disk #....and if it did it before then it should read it again......(I paid for that ..plus if something is wrong and I go thru all this work for nothing as it is then erased)....
but even when I put the CDG in ...the computer doesn't recognize it to download any of the songs.
something is wrong ? It may have dropped a couple inches from a bottom file but this is supposed to be 'durable'....so ???? not getting it.

sigh.

click on tools, and click on cd/dvd drive.this should tell you if your drive is able or unable to read cdg's..supposed to say read/yes and write/yes if not look for the manufacturers name and update the firmware
i just set you another private msg...mtu's installed cd/dvd drive are all capable of reading/writing cdg's.

Michelle, you don't need to go on-line to upload/import your CDs into Hoster, which is what you said you wanted to do. If the drive now says "Kar Read Yes", then it will read your disks. You still have to pick the DiskID from the drop down list, instead of expecting Hoster to know what you put in without you telling it. It will fill in the rest of the information, as I have stated before.

You stated that you never heard from MTU since you first tried to contact them in October. You may have missed it, but Admin did respond to you by writing you a very long & detailed post. Go to the beginning of this Thread and you will see your request & their answer.

Otherwise, you might want to take Bryant up on his offer to help you "step-by-step", since everything everyone has been saying here has not helped you.
