just wanted to update and thank everyone who tried helping me with 4.04 problems. I luckily found 4.03 on my laptop and reinstalled it and I'm happy to report everything is back to normal. I had to give up on 4.04 because it was driving me crazy and I'm not very computer literate. Thanks again for everyones suggestions and I hope vista and 4.04 can one day co-exist!

I'm with you Gator, I went back to 4.03, Guess I can do without all the
hassel in 4.04. Seems there is an awful lot of us having problems with this
upgrade. I didn't let it give me a headache, after reading all the posts of the lyrics not being in sinc on Vista and me having the same problem, I just decided I'll go in safe mode with 4.03 What I don't understand is with all the beta testers out there, nobody had these problems with the lyrics.
Guess we'll just have to wait for the next upgrade and see what happens.
Nevertheless I am happy with 4.03 Works for me.

I've been reading all the posts since before 4.0x came out.

Users did report out-of-sync lyrics with 4.03 and key change issues. 4.04 came out to FIX both of those.
The main problems I've seen reported with 4.04 are audio dropouts and display issues. I haven't seen anyone say anything about lyrics.

I find it interesting that you aren't having any of the problems that people reported with 4.03, especially using Vista. I am very interested in how well 4.03 is working for you with Vista, as I haven't upgraded mine yet. I'm still trying to decide whether to install 4.03 or 4.04

Sky, No I didn't have any of the problems that others had with 4.3, so that is why I didn't hesitate to upgrade to 4.4 I was really surprised when
I played the first song and it was way behind the music and then would try to catch up in the last line, I messed around with it a little and changed my windows setting to windows classic like someone had suggested in one of the posts, that did help a bit but not enough still had lyrics out of sync. I would tell you to go ahead and update, and see just make sure you don't lose your other copy that is working correct. You can always uninstall 4.4 and go back.

Just to be sure...... you are using Vista, right? Have you tried ALL the features, including importing and playing singer's disks? Everything is working for you on 4.03, including key changes, etc.?

Yes everything is working, as far as I know, I havn't done alot of key changes with it yet, but the songs that I do seem to be fine. Have imported many singers discs without a hitch. Yes I am using Vista. Now remember there are others out there with Vista that did have problems with 4.3 I may just be one of the lucky ones. I have a Toshiba satellite
