3.40 seems to only play a song if it is first played in 4.02.

But it won't play a file it if 4.02 doesn't play it first?

Yes, If none of this worked, use Contol Panel/Uninstall Program to remove 4.02 (which gets 3.40 out too) and reinstall. I'd restart may machine before reinstall. Another thing I recommend is to hit the Reset Display button in the Options section of the Tools menu before you uninstall 4.02. This will put the second display back on the computer decktop.

I'm up wit' cha

Did as you perscribed. Strange. Didn't have to rebuild data base to make 4.02 work. 3.40 doing same thing. NOTHING.

Kelly,
Do a search for Songs.mdb and see if there are any other copies on your C: drive. With all the moving around of files in the 3.316 - 3.321 changes to get Vista working you may have another old copy lurking somewhere that is causing problems.

If I remember right one of the moves put it into a sub-folder under the individual's Documents.

Kelly,
Did you do as Dale suggested? there may be songs databse file located somewhere else on your machine. If you find one, delete it.

If not, reinstall Hoster 4.02 the do windows search for "hoster" and delete these folders then reinstall. This whould give you a clean start.

I noticed when I uninstalled Hoster by way of Control... It didn't remove everything. There still was the MTU directory with things in it and there was still Micro... with things in it. Should I try again and this time go in a delete anything extra manually?

1. Uninstall 4.02

2. Delete all folders named Hoster (not your KMA folder if it has Hoster in the name)

3. Reinstall 4.03 and that should get you going.
