That did it guys! Thanks. Now back to pushin' 4.02 to see if I can get it to mess up! I can't complain too much. Been using Hoster since Jan 2003. Been playing at least once a week sometimes three since. Last week was the FIRST time ever that I had to shut down my main laptop and reach for my backup.

Again, thanks!

Kelly

Ok, something is really strange. I played 4.02; all was well. Switch to 3.40; couldn't find songs. Redid data base and 3.40 worked fine. Shut off Hoster. Turned 4.02 back on and before it would come up on screen it automatically begin rebuilding data base again. Checked it and it was fine. Switched BACK to 3.40 and it can't find the songs again.

Think it's time to uninstall and reinstall?

Not yet.

Look in your C:\Program Files\Micro Technologied Unlimited\Hoster folder and see what files are in that folder. Do you see a Microsoft Access file called songs or songs_backup?

This should be something simple, don't give up yet.

My kma files are on my external. I tried something and right now they are both working. I deleted the desktop short cut to 3.40 and went back to the folder and reinstalled it. They are both working now. Gheeez!

SH!#$@%$#@%.

I brought up 4.02 . loaded some songs and let the first one start. Stope song and turned off 4.02. Turned on 3.40. The songs I had entered are there of course. Started the first one again and it played. Stoped it and tried to play the second one and 3.40 couldn't find it. It's like as long as 4.02 plays it; then 3.40 finds it. Will try what you last posted.

Good deal Kelly, You should be fine.

The reason I aSked your to delete the files was to see if they had become corupt and were causing the problem. NOT AN ISSUE! I'm gald you are up and running, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

Enjoy the new features.

That's where they're supposed to be. 3.40 is in the correct location as well.

Try this Kelly:

With both versions of Hoster closed, move the song and songs_backup and the bucket Microsoft Acess files into a seperate folder on your desktop (or wherever). In other words get them out of the c:\MTU\Hoster folder.

Open 4.02 and your database should rebuild then check things out.

A TIP:

The program buy default looks in the C:\MTU\KMA Files folder for your KMA files.

I'll be up so hang with me.
