default cd rom

When I first installed hoster it asked where to put the songs. And I listed a folder on my second Hard Drive(120 gig) My Main hard drive is 40 gig.
I deleted and redownloaded hoster and removed the folder. It still asks for that initial folder but goes to a default folder.
It also asks which Disk drive I am going to use. Apparently, my CD Rom drive, previous DVD Drive and the new MTU Drive all are Hoster Compatible. I choose the new MTU drive to use , then hit "OK".

Default Drive

I think my Sony DRU-800A DVD Drive was originally in my computer when I first downloaded Hoster. When that didn't work I took it out and installed the MTU Drive.

drive

The Sony never read karaoke disks but the MTU Drive recognizes them. When I go to import the tracks, the songs come up (legend series LG091) Rolling stones (example). When the software begins to transfer each track, it never gets through the first track.. I wonder if 512k Ram is enough. I tried different transfer speeds also and none worked.

i have sony drives and they work very good at cdgs.
512 is plenty for hoster. (more is always better)
try getting rid of nero and reboot.
see if that helps.
go into task mang, (ctrl-alt-del) and see whats running.
and how much of your ram is being used. Bob
