Did you have a regular Microsoft CD copy of Vista or a "Restore" CD from the computer manufacturer? The reason I ask is Dell and others are know for tampering with the files to add in there own monitor files and other things that aren't needed.
I think that most of the Vista versions MTU and the beta testers have been using were upgrades direct from Microsoft without the computer manufacturer's modifications.
Admin, maybe you need to check with all (a poll?) and see which versions and whether they are retail or manufacturer install. Might surprise you!
