It's not there any longer in 3.313, so that can't be the solution.

I'll talk to Engineering today on this problem.

I am testing this problem now. I have imported 20 tracks from a few CD's into Microstudio 3.004 as .bin files.

I now take these files into Hoster 3.13 and setup the correct filename field orders, then start importing.

I have imported all 20 files without any problem. Can you send me the .bin files that you are having it crash with, so that we can look at those files that will cause the problem.

You can send them to

Hoster crashes during file download

Please remember I have sucessfully loaded .bin files from Microstudio to Hoster on one of My computers and have done so a number of times!
I am working with DKK2002 the original disc, Not a copy. I can try other discs but I feel the results will still be the same.
Both computers are now acting the same. When I hit the Import files button the converting HDD track box appears along with an hour glass for about 10 seconds and then Hoster closes out sending Me back to the desk top.
Will send You the disc DKK2002 if You wishI will try other discs over the weekend. Please advise Me if you want the disc.

Hoster crashes during file download

Over the weekend I tried discs from different distributoes with the same result. I tried Legends, Music Maestro, Chartbusters and Sound Choice.
I did US Mail You a copy of the error message screen I keep getting.
I decreased the compression to 160KB and was able to load one . bin file before Hoster crashed. This happened several times and now it doesn't seem to have any affect. Please advise

Hoster crashes during file download

I was hoping that with Hoster 3.314 this problem would fix, It did not.
I did realize something as I was looking for a fix which may be of help.
I open Hoster>Import Tracks>Import Hard Drive Files>type: BIN, which opens a "choose folder screen". On the computer that works there is no file extension at the end of the songs listed.
Aretha Franklin_-_Respect_-_DKK2002.6 (works)
On the two computers that do not work there is a ".bin" file extension at the end of each song.
Aretha Franklin_-_Respect_-_DKK2002.6.bin (does not Work)
I have attempted to alter the Define Field Order with no success.

This computer is obviously configured differently from the other two. By that I mean the display of files is configured differently. The default settings for XP is to hide system files and to hide file extensions for known file types of which ".bin" is one. So unfortunately this is not really a difference between the computers.

If you were to open Windows Explorer, go to Tools/Folder Options, then click on the View Files tab at top. Change to Show Hidden Files and Folders, uncheck Hide extensions for known file types, and uncheck Hide protected operating system files. Then go back qand look at those song files you will see the ".bin" extension.

What I am thinking isn't working is the 2nd period before the 6. Try changing it to a "-" and see if that will work.
