Occaisionally Chartbuster "forgets" to add multi-session as I have seen their disc without it from time to time; even in a coll ection of dics where 28 of the 30 disc would have it and 2 would not.

On a curious note, I have been importing from 3.30 (not supposed to get last track on multisession). However, I have
gotten all my "last " tracks on all my discs with 100's of CB discs? Why would that be?

3.30 does import last trac on multisession CDs. It was 3.12 that didn't import them. 3.301 fixed some other problems that were caused in 3.30.

happnine - are you counting the tracks from the list of songs written on the CD or case? Or are counting the tracks as viewed in windows explorer? Explorer will show 1 extra track on those multisession discs which is not a song but coding for the multisession.

I'm like Beavis. A big believer and "break down and get all the right (top of the line) peripherals" that you know will work. Once you start messing around with the "maybe-might -work" unique pieces of equipment, you never know what you're gonna get. Right Beav.

If ALL multisession discs you try have the same problem, I'd try:

1. Reinstall Hoster 3.301... WHEN you have 3 or more days before the next show to give yourself and MTU room to solve any problems that might happen. We are moving mtu.com to a new server and things MAY be in limbo the rest of this week.

2. Replace your CD/DVD drive with an MTU Plextor drive (IDE or USB). Our prices for NEW drives are lowest today. Not trying to push this for a sale, but it is OFTEN the solution. If you can tolerate the problem a bit longer, you may wait until Hoster 3.4 is released, which may solve this problem even further. I've said all that is relevant about 3.4 to this problem. We hope to release before the end of May.

If SOME of your multisession discs don't import all the tracks, then welcome to the "confusion club".

There are various forms of multisesison PROTECTION used to deter importing your CDG disc tracks to a hard drive. MTU has done a good job of overcoming most, but there may be some that sill lurk unsolved. If you find some discs that don't import, please post them here as Brand-DiscID# so we can research them. Also, others who may have the same disc can comment on their success or failure like you.

It may also be you have a damaged disc, that could even be a NEW disc. Chartbuster for some unknown reason has an extremely high 2-byte and 3-byte error rate in their discs, and the last track would be the most vulnerable to these errors due to its written location on the disc.
