3.104 Fixed my garbled lyrics on my laptop while importing CDG. Great fade out button. I will use it alot when some 12 year old thinks she ca be Avril Lavigne for about 30 seconds that walks away!! So far I can't complain although I have loved this program from the start.

Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

So far it appears that 3.104 is having no problems (Crashing) if this is the case has anyone determined what the problem was? I will upgrade to 3.104 and delete all previous versions if the problem is solved.

With everybody talking about beta testing 3.104, I'm a little jealous that I've got to wait (sniffle sniffle).

Believe me, I really wanted to let everyone have it, including you, but the goal in letting a few outside of our Beta Testers was to prove that the crash when using the Add Track CDG button (add a track from a Singer's disc they bring to your show). Like you, our standard Beta Testers were not experiencing the problem, but most of this thread's posters were.

I merged Threads some time ago to create this Thread in anticipation of using these folks to help us prove we have solved the crash.

From all responses so far, it appears the problem is gone.

This week we have made a MAJOR upgrade in how you select an import CDG, BIN, MP3G and ZIP files. As a result, some persistent parameters changed (these appear each time you use particular functions) which will display 2 error messages when using the Template dialog box for selecting CDG, BIN, MP3G and ZIP files. Only those who have installed AND USED a 3.100 Beta 1 or version will see these. We could prevent these messages, but we would have to delete all your stored Registry Keys that hold the persistence values. We felt it was better to preserve the persistence versus click away 2 messages.

Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

I have used the beta version quite a bit the last few days, and the ultimate test was running my show with it Saturday night. This is the one show I have that singers bring their own discs, and it is alway one particular persons burned discs that caused hoster to crash. I loaded several songs from the very same discs that I had a problem with before, and hoster worked flawlessly. Great job guys. It looks like the gremlins are gone!!! Thanks!

Unhappy Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

I hope everyone is correct that the new version will fix this problem.
I just ran another show on saturday night and almost everytime someone gave me a disc to load my system crashed. I have a lot of unhappy singers at my events. I'm not sure how long I can continue to use this program to do my shows. I am trying desperately not to loose any of my karaoke regulars.

Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

I am not experiencing crashes, but a couple of times while I was singing from a Disc made with Kpro, i lost graphics on the TV screen for a couple of lines while the disc imported, but the graphics returned as soon as the import completed. this is very random and does not happen every time. I imported several other disc during that night and had no problems.

Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

Just used Hoster ver. 3.104 during a show last night and had only one minor problem while importing a 1 song. The screen went blank for a few seconds before the import screen came up, but hoster did not crash. Had 6 singers with their own disc and hoster did not crash.

Great job guys Thanks.

Re: Post if you crash when adding a CDG track from a Singer's disc

Hoster shut down on me last Saturday night during a show when I was adding a CDG track from a singer's Sound Choice disk. This happened while someone was singing...yikes! I have the latest verion of Hoster and use a 2.8 Gig Compaq laptop and an External DVD burner purchased from MTU. It's the first time this has happened in awhile and I had just started to get comfortable about importing singer's CDG tracks. I hope this problem will be fixed in the new version. Thanks.
