Re: Hoster 3.006

hey george,

when he double clicks the screen, it goes to full screen on the pc. this means it must be something wrong with his settings or the card itself.

hey tymzend,

are you using a converter from radio shack to go to the tv monitor ? or a straight RCA connection from your video card ?????

Re: Hoster 3.006

Straight RCA Connection.

In the past, I never had to move the singers display over to the TV screen for it to work.

Regardless of where it was on my PC display while Hoster was open, if I had the Singers TV hooked up, and I hit "PLAY" in Hoster, it vanished off of the PC screen, and magically appeared on the Singers TV, without having to be resized or anything. And, for the duration of the show, it would stay there.

If you move the singers display off of your PC screen (to the left), so the whole thing shows up on the TV, how can your mouse reach it to double click it and resize it? After all, you just moved it off of your screen.

Just wondering.

The mouse goes out of view off the monitor screen to move it over there doesn't it?

Don't focus so much on having to move to the left, mine and many others move off to the right. I imagine that varies with different video cards

Thre way I descrtibed it in my prior post is the way ity works for me, and many others have used the same method.

You don't even have to be in Hoster, just set it up the remote and move the mouse over there, you can see it on your extended desktop.

That's funny I just realized I must be focused on moving to the right, as that's the way mine works. I always tell folks to drag to the right even though I know it can be either direction

Guess I'm going to have to watch myself in the future

Thanks DJYale for the info on the display properties...never gave it much thought.

Take care,

George

Re: Hoster 3.006

I swap mine back and forth depending on where I have my secondary set up. Just feels awkward dragging off to the right if the display is on the left ...

That's because after the initial installation and set up, the settings will usual remain persistant and there's no need to set it up each time.

The right or Left issue is based on windows display properties settings. You can drag the secondary display that's shown under settings (shown with a number 2) to either the right or the left of the primary display (number 1) to change this.

Re: Hoster 3.006

I see. When I move the singers rotation list over, I move it to the right, as far as I can until the mouse won't move it any further. Seems to work.

I'll be doing some debugging on this today or tomorrow afternoon. I'll promptly post what I find.

Once again, you guys are the best. I have a bunch of stuff I can try now. I do appreciate you all taking the time to post on this subject.

Dunno for certain, but one would almost think if he's seeing the extended desktop, as he appears to be, the video card would be working, and the connection is good.
