Cannot change screen resolution

a tv can not support high resolution like a crt or lcd
you will be lucky to get 800x600 out of most tvs

I see. Since my lowest setting is 1024 x 768, that is where it should stay. How about the 32 bit compared to the 16 bit color. I have both set at 16 thinking it will save memory. Is this OK?

i keep mine set at 32 high and have no problem with that if you want to leave it at 16 i dont see were it would be a problem
try both see what happins

16 or 32 are OK. They are 2 and 4 bytes long.

DO NOT USE 24 bit color. It is 3 bytes long and will significantly slow down your computer. I don't understand why this is even available.
