Because it will have 2 of every song to choose from and god knows which one you will be playing. Besides what is the point.

I load all my songs onto the internal hard drive, and copy them to the laptop for a backup. If i do a show, I dont have to use the external hard drive. (just one more thing to take with you)

If the show machine craps out, you have the laptop, and the external drive to play from. Having 2 copies of the same songs fererenced in the database on the same computer is a recipe for problems.
