Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

It would be best to delete the kmh files as well which is then like starting from scratch.

Regarding the id tags, most of the old ripped karaoke tracks never had their id tags indexed so still need to be manually indexed.
I don't know of any other programs that will fix this for you.
Also I don't believe video tracks contain ID tags.

Mp3 tracks on the other hand generally do have all their Id tags in tact and can be indexed automatically. You can try importing these through the index song files dialog and most should automatically get the correct field order without having to set it up previously.
You might want to view my video on this subject here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjf7fxEK5wk ithe mp3 import is at the beginning and it does sort the title and artist for mp3 types.
This is from an earlier version of Hoster but that part is the same and may help you.

Roy,
Well I am still in the process of reloading all my songs. I went in and deleted all the kmh files and the importedfiles.txt from each folder. My issue know is that my "C" drive is full and I have only 3/4 of my songs imported. How do I change the drive location for hoster since I have 579gb of storage in my "D" drive rather than the 179gb in my "C" driver. How do I move hoster to the "D" drive? Other than that, seems things are running great, thanks for all your help.
Brett

To the best of my knowledge you must install Hoster on the C drive, if your music files are on your F drive then it adds the kmh headers to the same folder so will not affect the size of your C drive.
The only things that use your C\ drive is the songs database and various text files that wouldn't use that much space to fill up your drive probably no more than 200mb.
But it has come to my knowledge that Hoster now uses a tempory folder on the C\Drive for some functions and maybe the importing is one of them.
I think you are now seeing a similar problem to "uhuhnottelling" who was running out of space on his C drive, you can read what he found in post #80.
This folder is hidden on most computers so you can't find it, to un hide it open Windows control panel/folder options then click the view tab, look down the list for Hidden files and folders and select Show Hidden files.

Then brows to C:\Users\your name\AppData\local\Temp\MTU_Hoster

See if this folder is filling up with songs files using up your spare space if so delete all the files in it and carry on importing.

I'm going to report this problem to MTU in case it's something they have over looked.

I found that folder and it was full of songs. Will those songs be in my database after I delete them from the c drive?

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

It's a tempory folder just there to store files while the process is importing it seems. to test it just delete a few of them from that folder then check they are still imported alright. If they are then it seems safe to delete the rest.
I have emailed support to take a look at this problem but I'm sure you'll be safe to delete them. I think there is a bug where it is not clearing the tempory folder.

Thanks again Roy. That folder was full. I have deleted the files and it did not affect anything in my database. So far working great. I will keep you posted.

Thanks,
Brett

Uhhuh and Bburton,
Can you two tell me what type of files your using and exactly what steps you are using when these folders are getting full?

We have been digging through the code all day today and have not yet run into anything that would cause your situation, so we need more information on this.

We need to know what types of files, etc.... with as Much information as you can give us.
