Bryant,

Can't say good news, just a possibility as to what may be causing the crashes.

I use my minature VGA out to a standard VGA splitter connected to all my monitors. Also I run BA, RS, Insta Buttons, Tempo, and occasional Key Change in Hoster. External to Hoster, Internet Explorer, Anti Virus (Symantec) and Outlook not to mention staying connected to the internet 100% of the time. I do not have VDJ or utilize HDMI. I also have not experienced any crashes in months.

When I look at Device Manager for Audio Devices I notice 2 different drivers. 4 for Nvidia High Def Audio and 1 for Realtek Audio.

Just a thought.... In your case you could very well have the same setup as far as audio drivers as I have. There could be a conflict that occurrs sometime during your show that your applications cannot decide which driver to use when you utilize the HDMI output. Meaning the HDMI output likes to use the Nvidia High Def Audio and all of a sudden one of your applications decides to use Realtek audio.

If you have the capability to connect to your monitors utilizing VGA only and run a show you may narrow down the problem. Or possiably go into your Nvidia control panel and disable the High Def Audio while using HDMI.

Just a thought.

Think I'll check that out and try that . Thanx, although I do remember the first night I used the laptop I DID use the mini-vga out and got the first crash within ten minutes and another crash later in the show.

Re: Post Hoster 5.07 Problems Here

Seems a new problem has been found, when stopping a song playing in the main play list, as the status changes from Play to Ready there is an audible beep. It only happens when a fade out setting is applied, if set to 0.00 it does not happen, also it does not seem to affect stopping a video playing.
This problem was noticed by Electrome in this thread http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?p=113041#post113041

Can other verify this, I have myself but I recently had to reset my computer back to original condition and may have missed something in my fresh setup.

I was just able to verify this. With fade out set at 1.5 I got the click when I stopped the song. When set to 0 NO CLICK.

Re: Post Hoster 5.07 Problems Here

Last night I went back to my fade settings of fade in and out at 3 sec. and remove silence added silence at 3 sec. before and after and nothing running except Hoster. I ran a four hour show with 58 songs of which 2 were mp3 audio a 4 were mp4 video.
NO CRASHES...

Tonight I'll use the same setup, and will look for the audible beep at stop song early.

No crashes tonight, either, using the above scenario, started with three video mpg's and a couple of audio mp3's and 51 karaoke songs over a four hour period.

Actually, I don't recall ever getting my crashes at the above combination of settings, hmm?

Roy, do you think this might have some connection with the end of song crash I and a few others have been seeing? Just reaching for good news?

I don't know, can you hear this bleep if you stop a song in the playlist ?

I tried tonight with two audio mp3's and with one and a half minutes left and a number of regular karaoke songs and couldn't hear anything. I always hit shift-stop though when I stop songs early. I believe all my computer sounds are turned off too, if that matters.

However, I played three video mpg's on auto play and when the first one stopped the second one didn't continue on auto. Also, the second one didn't show the video on the extended screen either but the vocals were fine. It also stopped by itself 15 seconds into the song(didn't think I hit anything by mistake, but who knows) I do remember I had the search song dialog open when the first song stopped at the end and didn't continue to the next on autoplay.
