As to why we did it, this was not solely for new customers. It streamlines the use of Singers to add songs from the Search into their record. Many users had complained about having to click the "manila folder" beside the Singer's name field. We and our Beta Testers struggled over this and evolved to the current operation.

It sounds to me like we need to work on the minimizing and restoring for the Search (and Singers) dialogs. I have noticed the Singer dialog restores from the tray, but not always the Songs dialog.

We should be able to fix this.
