Re: Audio drop out causing Lyrics to go out of sync

Thank you for responding so quickly! I have 6GB of ram this was the top of the line HP in Jan.2011 at NFM and had the hightest of everything at that time. I could do a restore again but fear of the same thing happening again after the updates. the updates were a windows service pack, hp update for quick launch software, and 3 other windows smaller ones. After restoring I went back and did the recommended install by do each one at a time Priority first. I want to say it's not just related to the seach window, I feel it's not getting full use of the quad processers. I set the virtual memory to the recomended 2x ram. then tried letting Hp decide and it worked better. I just can't seem to run windows Media player, or use my sound effects program and be connected to the internet all at the same time like I can on my other laptop.

I would not have done the Hp quick launch update. This allows HP to use processor time and memory to pre-launch parts of programs that you don't need running. Also quick launching those programs really doesn't save that much time if you need to open them. This is most likely part of the cause of the sync loss. This means other programs beside what you have selected to run are running in the background.
