Have come to the conclusion that system restore does not work unless there has been a change in the operating system, and/or related settings

Several times when I've encountered product glitches and tried to restore, got the message that a restore could not be done as there were no changes in the system.

Maybe that's why they call it "system" restore.

I'd still try it if all else fails, and I continue to do so, but with crossed fingers, as it fails more times than it works.
