Slight Playback Glitches
I've noticed on certain CDG tracks that I play, directly from my hard drive, I occaisonally encounter some glitches, or jumps in the music. Amost like when you play a song from a CD, and the buffer must fill or somthing. Just a momentary halt in the music.
It seems as if the graphics were a bit too much for my machine. Sure wish I could play the lyrics in a smaller screen. Anyway, is there any settings I could change to allot more memory or somthing to keep up with the graphics, and avoid the occaisional glitches? Thanks for any replies...

here is some things you can do.
1: make sure you aren't running any other program while you are in Microstudio. This can eat up cpu usage. 2:disable your Screen Saver. 3: make sure your disc and drive are clean as they can cause glitches too. Other than that I can't think of anything short of maybe upgrading your computer but I figure you might be looking for something that won't cost an arm and a leg. Admin may have other suggestions. |

PC performance upgrade
If it turns out you do need to upgrade your PC a little, the best thing is to upgrade your memory. A 256 Mb stick of PC133 memory is only around £20 from computer fairs. It will provide the best money to performance ratio you can buy.

Re: PC performance upgrade
Hi DJMusic&Light,
Thanks for your reply. I guess that is the ONLY option left for me, since "Adminstration" has not replied to my note to give me any other options. I am noticing more and more glitches in playback, and it's irrating. The more extensive the graphics, and the quicker that the text scans in the song, the more often the "glitches" happen. So, I guess I need to fork out some cash for more memory. Oh well, it's cheaper than buying a new computer! ;) Thanks again for your help. Quote:

Might also try turning Auto Insert Notification off on all cd drives and setting color resolution to 16 Bit.
Take care, George |

Sorry for any delays, but what you can also do that will most likely fix the problem is make sure that you have DirectX 8.0 installed on the system, and you must make sure that your Video card drivers support DirectX 8.0 also. If they don't you will need to download the latest Video drivers for the Video card. You can check the DirectX version at: http://www.mtu.com/vbulletin/showthr...p?threadid=772
Let me know how this does.
