Question Dual Display No Longer Working

Something has happened and I can't seem to fix it. Been using Hoster awhile now and not had a problem, but tonight I could not get dual display to save myself.

When I click properties, settings screen 1 is at 1024 x 768 and 32 bit.
When I click screen 2 it is at 800 x 600 and also at 32 bit. Extend my windows desktop to this monitor is checked, and the standard windows screen is there. BUT, I can't get the words to the songs to display there; in fact, I can't even get my mouse over there.

I am using an ATI Radeon 7000 card. If I click advanced and go to displays I see pretty much the same information. For screen 2 I see it is set for NTSC M where is has always been, but I have tried all of the settings to be sure. If I click the TV/Format I see Select by Country and it says USA. I have changed it to by Format and tried each of those. I still can't get the songs words on the TV.

Yes, the TV was one before I booted. All 6 times.

Now I normally go from one show to the next without booting in between. That is the only thing that was different this week. I had the system on to do some maintenance on my DJ materials and then when it was set up a show I could not get the TV screen to work.

If anyone can figure out what I have done or not done I would sure appreciate some help, cause by now I have lost my mind.

Thanks all,

Unhappy Where is my Singers Screen?

Ok, I posted Dual Display No Longer Working, now an update:

I removed all dual display settings, rebooted and then set them up again. Now I apparently have dual display, because I have another sing along program and I CAN MOVE THAT SONG SCREEN TO THE TV for use and back to the monitor and close the program.

BUT when I open Hoster the singers box is not there ( and was not earlier either) to be moved to the TV nor is it on the TV as it would normally be. I can move the PREVIEW DISPLAY to the TV but I would of course like to keep that on my monitor.

So where did it go and how do I get it back???

Thanks again!!

Read This post and follow the directions. It will clear all your Hoster presets, including the Singer Display location, which has been somehow changed.

You will need to go back and change all Hoster display settings after following the instructions above.

We added code over a year ago to prevent moving the Singer Display outside valid Window coordinates. However, something outside of Hoster seems to have changed the location to an incorrect point.

Brenda, I see you are running Hoster 3.316. I suggest you download Hoster 3.318 from this link, and install it by UPDATE over your 3.316. It will move files that can be edited to where Windows wants them to be today.

The safe thing to do is make a backup image of your hard drive before you start if you have a hard drive available to do this. If not, create a Windows Restore point so you can return back to it if anything goes wrong. I don't expect anything will go wrong, but if your hard drive has any bad spots on it, anything could happen.

Once you do this, click the Start menu > Run command and type in "chkdsk". This will verify your hard drive sectors. Normally, it should not damage any data, unless it finds bad sectors which it will log as "unusable" in the Windows File Allocation Table (FAT) for that drive.
