Singer Import Issue

Been a long time Hoster user. Still using a MTU Prostar as my main laptop and back at the first of the year bought a new Dell 1505. Came with a Sigma Tel Audio card. Ok, but not the best. This is my backup computer. Even though it is new, only used it a couple of times. (Using Hoster 3.316) Both times I used it, no problem. BUT, had never had to import a singers disc. Last week I decided to use it again. Worked great until I had to import a song off a singers disc.

Song that was currently being used began to warble. Slowed down the speed of the current song also. I have researched here on the forum but not sure any of it fits. Because I have never been completely satisfied with the sound of the Sigma Tel I bought a Creative ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme. Definite improvement over the internal sound. However I tried it today and Hoster does the same thing when trying to import. Being a long time user. all my settings of course are set up as the manual recommends.

So at this point I don't think its so much of a sound card issue since I have tried both and they both do the same thing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kelly

Did you remember to turn off the on-board sound card?
Also try running the DXDIAG and adjust the sound acceleration down to standard.

Thanks Doug,

Yes, before I tried the express card I turned the internal one off. No go. And I tried adjusting the sound acceleration as I saw that in one of the other threads. No go there either.
