Problems with Nero, Roxio, Alcohol prevent Microstudio working

I have a Plextor PX-708A and whenever I try to burn a CDG using Microstudio or CDRWin, I get the Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' failed on device 1:0:0 Disc type is not supported.

I can read CDGs on this drive with both Microstudio and CDRWin. Also, I can burn CDGs with Alcohol 120% but the disc addressing gets weird on tracks 10 and higher. Any ideas?

Robrien,
The answer to your problem is to remove the NERO 6 software and the Roxio EZ CD Creator 6 software from your computer. There is a driver in these 2 programs that is conflicting and causes this problem.

Once you remove the programs, reboot the computer, you will be up and running.

Thanks

Bryan @ MTU Support, thank you. After a week of discussions with friends and kibitzers, and chats with various support staffs, your brief and simple instructions were a breath of fresh air. AND THEY WORKED!! Well, not immediatley. There were still problems after removing the two programs, but different problems, so I figured I was on the track. I went on and removed Alcohol 120% and CDRWin 5.0, rebooted and burned CDGs to my hearts content. Since I removed them both at once, I may reinstall Alcohol just to see what was actually at fault. Anyway, thanks again.
