Thumbs down SoundBlaster software and Microstudio

It seems that we have gone full circle again with Soundblaster and Microstudio.
Originally, Microstudio stopped playing when you attempted to access the Soundblaster EAX controls, and continued when you closed the EAX panel, MTU addressed this problem and it has been working well for nearly 12 months. But, I have just installed the latest version of the Audigy software, including new drivers for the EAX panel, and what a bummer, Microstudio now drops the audio again when you access the EAX panel OR the MediaSource recorder, which now means that I cannot record as I used to do. This is my bread and butter here, and it aint working again, I am sure that it is something simple, but would appreciate a little guidance.

Microstudio is still the best thing since sliced bread and Dart.
Keep it coming lads.

Simon,
I have just tested this with my Built in Sound Card and it works fine. Microstudio does not loose the Sound when I click into other programs. What this means, is that your new Sound Blaster software is actually turning off the Audio when you go to use that. This is not a problem that we would beable to fix, they would have to disable killing the sound, when another program is playing audio.

Try going to any other program such as Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer or your Windows Volume Control and make sure it is still playing the audio when it loses the focus. Mine is working fine. This is using Microstudio 2.611.

Thumbs up Soundblaster and Microstudio

Thanks for your comments peeps, I have just had the following reply from the Soundblaster team, which may be useful to any one updating their software.

"If it is your intention to run any third party software through the EAX system, you must carry out the following procedure (for one time only).

Open the EAX panel
Open the Speaker selection panel
Select any preset environment
Select your speaker set up i.e. 2/2.1 etc
Open and run your third party software, and the EAX control will then mark this software as 'Usable' in it's data list.
Close the EAX panel and the speaker selection panel.
Close the third party software

The EAX panel will now function in the background without loss of audio from your third party software."

IT WORKS!!!!!!
