KHP 2.0 "Duet" question
Does the new "color settings" mode apply globally to the text, or can we select a few lines to change, then switch back (i.e. different colors for the guy, girl and both for a duet)
Just wondering, Scoob *Anxiously awaiting another great release from MTU! |

![]() The new version of Karaoke Home Producer will not allow you to use more than one colour of text within a single song (apart from the sweep colour).
Once the colour of the text is set, then this is fixed for the whole song, you cannot change the text colour 'within' the song, to produce a 'duet' style song with 'pink' for the girls and 'blue' for the boys etc. A good thought for a new feature of the future though. Bose |

![]() Bose is exactly right!
![]() For us to add duet requires several things: 1. A way to enter two separate lyric word streams sync'd to the music. 2. Settings controls for the second singer (font, point size, style, text color, sweep color). An added bonus would be to provide a way to allow color both singer's lyrics a 3rd color when they are to sing together. However, technically this could be complex and I'm not sure if the singers are better off seeing a color change instead of just singing to their color. We have this capability (1 & 2) in Karaoke Pro. To bring it down to KHProducer will take some time. We need to get 2.0 released first. Then of course there is adding graphics and editing the placement. Editing really will be required before we would consider adding duet. |

you could just indicate before the particular segment that the specific singer are sinmging a M for Male, F for female and B for bothsomething like this;
M: Summer Lovin had me a blast F:Summer Loving happened so fast B:summer dreams ripped at the seems That's how Pioneer did it in their cdg's Who needs the colors if each singer is looking for their part. Providing none of the parts over lap. Last edited by danny_g; July 16th, 2001 at 12:51 AM. |
