Question What's Happening With Hoster?

Hi All,
My first question is: Does it really matter how many kmas are in one folder eg is 10,000 ok in one folder?
Now to the real problem: After importing many thousands of zips to kmas, and I go through the select songs tab/window, and enter songs to be played, clicking on the first one everything starts playing ok. When that song finishes, it changes to 'played' and it starts to proceed with the next one. What happens here, is it goes to 'cue' and everything freezes. You cannot click anywhere on the Hoster window, the only place you can click is the red x button which closes the program down. Then we get the microsoft 'send error report'.

Please bear in mind that if I manually click on individual songs in the playlist the songs will play.
Hopefully I've explained what's happening fully.

Thanks very much!

MIke.

I have over 20,000 files in the Hoster songs folder. I haven't had any problems. What version are you using? Have you been using Hoster very long? Has this problem been from the start or did it just start? I would reinstall Hoster and see if that helps first.

Yea, I've got more than 20,000, it's just started since I've been importing zips. I'm using version 3.110.

What is the AUTO PLAY DELAY set to?

Sometimes, when Hoster starts acting strange, re-installing Hoster may solve what is happening.

I will Import several TEST Zips and try Auto Play with a Delay of 5 Seconds to see if I can re-create your problem.

OK, I imported 15 HDZIPs and placed 4 in the Playlist.

Each Playing Song ended correctly and AUTO Played the next in line.

I suggest that you re-install the Software and check it again.

I recieved a notice from MTU warning me that the Hoster 3.110 Version has bugs in it and anything imported from the hd would not play.
And that the new version would be out 8-19-05 and this would take care of the problem. Anyone else get this notice?

I got the message as well

I am anxiously awaiting for the correction file before using the new 3.110. I am sure it will be out this weekend, I have always found MTU to be great at updating patches etc. I love my hoster especially for rehearsing. I can save my lists of songs and rehearse as often as I like without having to look up my songs again. Hoster is by far the best, and in my mind, the only program to use for my karaoke shows.

waiting for upgrade to hoster

My understanding is that they will email us with the link to upgrade as soon as it is finished. I am also waiting anxiously for the upgrade.
Thanks MTU for providing us this info so quickly.

As Beavis stated, you will use your "Personal Download Link" in your Original Email. This will then give you the Latest version of the software when it is released.

We are still working on it.

As to this problem, it sounds like you may have imported some .zip files that were compressed at Max Compression for this to happen. Try Unzipping your .zip file and then Rezip it using normal compression. I think there is a nice Post from Nreel on how to do this.

I may be wrong, but it looks like you may not be clicking on the download link portion of the email.

I believe it should read something like this :

http://www.mtu.com/download.php?sc=mtu&id=XXXXXXXXXXXX
