Today...I produced my first karaoke song. And it kicked some serious AZZ!! Talk about the envy of the town? This is local talent and I have the ONLY karaoke disc!!!
It takes some time...3 hours for the first disc...but when you get it right, you know it! My only helpful hint...discs play better on your player than they do on your puter. When you think you've got it right...it's worth burning a disc to find out. This software is pretty good.....if anyone can give hints on how to control the sweep bar beter....please do. Thanks and good luck!

I believe that the KHProducer is very useful, and great fun!!. Can the sweep be made to go faster or slower in any specific words? Also, it is a bit tricky to make the sweep start a split second ahead of the timing of the song, but I suppose that this will come with time. I agree with you that the sound and the general sweep looks better in the actual CDG player than in the computer. I have done 3 or 4 songs and I am satisfied with one and working on the others. I hope that the new versions will allow for centering the lyrics in the screen (it is annoying to have all the sentences crunched on the left margin) and changing fonts, color, etc. BANDL |

Agreed...I'd like to have the lyrics centered as well. I found that to make the sweep bar go faster, press the Control key immediately after the space bar is pressed to place the word. I'm actually having more trouble controlling the slower sweeps.
I'm sure experience will take over eventually and it will get easier. Any advice on where to get WAV files?

getting .WAVed
I convert .mid (MIDI) files to .WAV files using Digital Orchestrator Pro, before that I made the conversion using Audio Station 32 that came with my Montego audio card. I am sure that there is something similar with the software of the sound system in your computer.
I get all my midi files from the internet (I have bought a few, but most of them are free) there is a search engine (http://www.musicrobot.com/) that works great, it only looks for midi files, all you need to do is give it the title (or part of the title) of a song. The lyrics, I get using any search engine and typing the name of the song and lyrics at the end. It usually gets me a lot of hits that are not relevant, but must of the time I get it. There are also some sites that have a lot of lyrics, however if you are looking for some obscure lyrics (I often looking for spanish lyrics) is better to go the broader route. Good luck BANDL |
