Angry Registration did not match records.

To MTU support,

Installed Hoster 3.108 upgrade on 4/25 used it all week all week at home with an internet access.
Got to a show on Sunday when I booted up my laptop and started Hoster and and got a message stating that "REGISTRATION DID NOT MATCH RECORD" I should reinstall the software.
Since I was at a show I had to use a bluetooth connection to connect my cell phone to the internet. Then I tried to reinstall Hoster then I got at message that I exceeded the number of registration. (Had the same problem with Microstudio ver 2.611)
At this point I had to use a back-up cd player to run the show (good thing I carry around an extra player and my disk).
Then this morning I booted up my laptop and connected to my wireless DSL internet connection and was able to reinstall Hoster and it registered ok.
PLEASE help me explain this problem because I want to know that when I get to a show I can rely on Hoster to run my show and not have to stress out because Hoster isn't working and have to rely on carrying around an extra player and my cdg's.

Thank you,

Re: Registration did not match records.

Crazchef,
This problem only occurs with Microstudio 2.611 and Hoster 3.108 if you have had prior older versions of the software installed. The fix for it is in the Hoster Error Messages thread at the top of this forum.

All you have to do it Uninstall the software and then reinstall it to fix the security. Please try this and then disconnect your Wireless card, and see if you still have a problem, before you go to the show this time. Try it as you would have it setup for your show, minus all your Sound equipment and let me know if it is still all working now that you have reinstalled.

Re: Registration did not match records.

I don't know if this is the same problem but it's sure similiar.

Two days ago I installed 3108 on my backup computer (previously had 2219 on there I think) .Rebooted and started Hoster to make sure there were no problems and it worked great. Yesterday I started it again and imported a bunch of songs from a cdg into the playlist, again no problems. Tonght I started it at my show and got the registration doesn't match notice so I reinstalled using the upgrade option And it still did'nt work and although It did'nt suggest rebooting I tried that anyway and it started right up!
And if that wasn't odd enough all the imported songs on the playlist from the day before were still there and functioning.

Sometime tomorrow I'll start it again to A: make sure it's still working and B: see if those songs are still there

Re: Registration did not match records.

Somehow after "remove" I overlooked "3) Reboot the computer"

Must've been the bold print that threw me

Re: Registration did not match records.

I need some help. I'm having similar problems as those listed here. I downloaded 3.108 successfully via wireless internet at work. Saved it to my hard drive, then ran the upgrade install. I also copied the file to a CD. After the upgrade, I opened Hoster and all looked fine. When I went home and tried to open Hoster with no internet, I received the error "registration does not match serial number" or something like that. From somewhere in the Forum I read to look at the Hoster Program Known Error Fixes and tried the fix for this. Ran the Remove from the 3.108 file on my CD, rebooted, connected to internet, then tried to run the installation to reinstall.

I now receive a message saying I already have Hoster registered on 2 computers. I only have 2 laptops that I use. I am trying to upgrade my backup laptop to be sure it works, then will need to upgrade my show computer. I do not have Hoster on more than 2 computers. I merely removed and wanted to reintall on same computer as the directions stated.

This is the first time I've had any problems doing the upgrades. What do I need to do? I'm not in a big rush as I'll do my show tomorrow night without the upgrade (have 3.006).

Will wait to hear from MTU. Thanks. Nitecat

Could someone with MTU Support help me with this? I'd like to get my upgrade problem resolved this week, if possible. Thanks so much. I know you guys are busy. Nitecat
