How to make an mp3 a wave file?
Hello I've downloaded some karaoke songs from napster and I cant get them converted to a wave file without first burning them to a disc and then ripping them from the disc with microstudio. Is there a better way?

You can use a plug-in with WinAmp to convert files from MP3 to wav. It works great.
Go to www.winamp.com and download for free.

A little primer on the use of the Forum. In an existing Thread (what is started with the first post), there are 2 buttons.
The first button is New Thread, and the second is Post Reply. New Thread does exactly that, it places your post into a new thread, not under the thread you have open. Therefore, Cid_cat has not seen your thread I am answering, like you wanted him to. When you are inside an existing Thread, you need to click the Post Reply button to have your post stay in the open Thread. ![]() I'm going to try a new feature in our newly upgraded Forum to see if I can't merge this into the prior thread. ![]() It worked! ![]() |

![]() You may want to try internet Audio MIx. you can get it at www.acoustica.com. It will not only allow you to convert to wave but will allow you to allign your original wave file with the karaoke one. I use the original artist to set the lyrics so I don't mess up. (Works as long as the the karaoke file is the same as the original artist). I have been able to switch the wave files before clicking the create CDG file button. Note: the majority of Mp3 files will not allow for clean removal of vocals. if you want to use an mp3 file as your background music you need to consider picking up a karaoke mate from Rdio Shack as it is the only device I have found that works well with mp3s converted to waves.
