Can't install Microstudio V2.609

I purchased the program disc Microstudio V2.609 and can't install it in my new HP computer because I don't have a floppy drive and when prompted to place a floppy disc in the drive I can't go any further, even if I am on line with Microsoft explorer 6.0 at the same time.

I would rather not download the program off the internet...I would like to use the disc.

A previous response in this forum said to just go on line and then install the disc and it would exchange a small amount of info......and not require floppy.
