Dual display problems - Was a bad video card!!!

Hi,

I cannot get dual display to work for the life of me. It is getting very frustrating. I have an ati radeon 9800 pro with 256 megs of ram along with the latest drivers and Win XP Home. I have followed ati's advice on how to do this with no success. Does anyone have any suggestions or something I could troubleshoot? I am connecting through s-video on the video card to rca video on the tv. I use an s-video to rca adaptor between the cables (I have also tried to connect using a modulator from Radio Shack). One thing I noticed but I'm not sure it makes a difference; but the flat panel display is connected via vga not the dvi connector since one was not included with the monitor. In the display properties it shows the monitor as being a crt not a flat panel. I also connected via traditional crt monitor and got the same results. I am at a complete loss and would really appreciate some help.

Thanks,
T
