Windows 2KPro registration issue

I am running Windows 2K Pro. I am using a Plextor Premium 52x. It was suggested to me by tech support at MTU that I needed the upgrade to support my burner. I have upgraded from Microstudio Ver 2.4 to 2.517. Using the registration email and code that I was supplied with, I have tried unsuccessfully to register the new programme. The error message I get back differs from attempt to attempt e.g. your email is incorrect/registration code is incorrect. Its very vague. I have tried asking different friends (computer technicians) to try this for me and still no luck. I have read the forums and dont seem to be any closer to success. I still cant use this programme. The original ver 2.4 doesnt support my burner and I am without any useable product. Feel very let down by the amount of time and effort and money spent to register.

Don't enter anything in the Upgrade RegCode field

Paul, here is the error message sent to you when your registration failed on Thu, 15 Jul 2004 18:47:19 through Tue, 27 Jul 2004 17:12:48, as you tried 7 times.

Error: The registration code you entered is wrong. Please find your download instruction email with your Registration Code and enter it exactly as it appears.

If installing Microstudio, Vogone, Keyrite or Karaoke Home Producer, enter your Registration Code (not your prior Serial Number) in the Original Registration Code field and leave the Upgrade Registration Code blank.

You were entering your older Serial Number.

On Tue, 27 Jul 2004 17:15:27, you did succeed at installing using the correct Registration Code located in your "download instructions" email for your order for the Microstudio2UpG - which is the Upgrade part number.

It appears you are now installed and running. Post here if there are any problems.

Have you gotten the software registered?

Also it is stated under Installtion & Registration that this must be done to register the product. It is located at: http://www.mtu.com/basics/karaoke.htm
