Sony CRX-230E and Microstudio V2.314

I was using a Sony CRX-160 with the Microstudio V2.314 with no problems. I had to replace the CRX-160 because it failed, so I bought a CRX-230E because the manufacturer says it is CD+G capable and since I had no problem with the CRX-160. Now the Microstudio will not detect the CRX-230E as a karaoke able drive. Will upgrading to Microstudio V2.605 solve this problem?

Have no idea....

When we release the 2.605 demo - should be next week - download it and try your drive.

Be aware that Sony NO LONGER supports the CDG format. Thus, it is doubtful that this drive will work for Karaoke reading/writing. However... testing is the only way to know.

Skeeter,
What is the problem that you are having trying to Install the Software? Please give us as much information as you can.

Also, most likely the CX 230E drive will probably not work for Karaoke, as the 160E older model did. The new Sony Drives won't support CD+G correctly from what I have seen in the past.
