![]() I don't understand what you are trying to do?
Are you trying to import new songs to the hard drive as KMA compressed files in the Import Tracks Tab? If so, there is no key change when you import. That would modify the master song. If you want to do this, buy Keyrite and Microstudio, import your CDG song to the hard drive, key change it with Keyrite (recommend Pro 2.008 version for this), then select the key change you want to apply, then save it back to the hard drive as a new key changed CDG file, then write it to a CDG disc with Microstudio, then import that CDG disc into Hoster. Wheee! Did you get all that? ![]() In Hoster you can change the key while playing, in the Playlist tab by addding the song to the open Playlist project. However, you can't save the key change parameters to the imported KMA file. It will always start playing back at the default master key pitch. Now... if you want to sing these songs as a personal performer on stage, you can change the key. Read in the Manual about the TWO ways of creating a Playlist. Basically, disable the Tools menu "keep songs after playing" so they are NOT deleted from the Playlist after they finish playing. When you add your songs, using the Add Track operation, make your key change selection there. No, you can't play it there, but you can add it to the Playlist then play and determine the key for your voice, then delete it (Shift+X keys) and Add Track again and this time select the key change you found matches your voice. Now when that song plays it will be in your key. When you reopen this Project, all your songs will still be there, and you can perform your show on stage, using the same Playlist (multiple if you take breaks and have a different set of songs for the second, third... singing session) for each performance. Hope this answers your question. ![]() |
