Angry PX 712a

Just got to vent!!!!! I would have never spent 200 bucks on a new burner, if I had know you guys were going to push the release date out on 2.605

This really chaps me!!!! I also have alerted plextor of your change, because they are the ones who told me to start that you had a new release coming up , about a week after I bought my new 712a.... I told them they might want to let people know this.
since Plextor provides most of your burners that you sell.

Signed tired of waiting!!!!!!

It is always safer to ask us

When you (or anyone reading this) decides to buy the LATEST drive available, it is wise to contact us, or post in this forum BEFORE you buy.

To come back now and say you are really chapped... gee whizz, is that MTU's fault?

We can't spend our time posting all over the web site what we HAVEN'T done that someone might want us to do.

However, we willingly answer any questions.

What the heck! I'll just have us do a release with the new Plextor drivers early this week for 2.605 and ignore all the other things we were going to add. That way, you and a few others can get on with using your new, unsupported drive, and we can say we are supporting it.

Yep! That's what I'll do. It just doesn't make sense to sit and take it on the chin when we are not at fault, but could meet your desires anyway. We'll do that. I hope you appreciate it.

And... next time, ask before you buy. Everyone here will be more than willing to give you guidance... so you won't get chapped at us.

MTUSUPPORT ADDED: MTUSUPPORT is Bryan, not ADMIN. Admin is Dave. I wanted to make this clear.

Bryan, I really think you have this all wrong, geez I thought I was the Customer spending money and helping support MTU, and FYI I was told by Plextor that the Drive would work with your software, because it's their Drives that you sell!!!!! and I tried to get ahold you you!, Bryan, and Doug for 3 days I left mesg's to get info on the drives you are selling to make a purchace and no one called me back, that's when I went directly to Plextor
I think you are just peaved because I don't pay your prices for the Plextor Drives. You don't even list the manufactuer of the burners you sell, I don't buy anything with out knowing what it is and who makes it .
If there was any other software out there that work as well and as easy as the MTU software ( which I will say that I love it and is a wonderful product! )
After how I have been treated the past week I would hang it all up and go elsewhere.
But, I think this is why you treat some customers as you do, be cause you know we have no other choices.....we are your captive customers!!! but we still deserve to be treated like we are the customer
And please feel free to forward this mesg to Doug Cox
P.S really tacky sending my forum mesg to Plextor!!!!!

I am sorry that you had not been able to contact us by Phone. The best way is the Forums, we can come from anywhere and see posts in the forums. If you call, it is probably true that you will not get me on the phone. The reason being is that I am on the Phone from when I get to the office, until I leave, almost always. I need to be allowed time off of the phone, to get my other work done. I am in charge of keeping all of the computers in the office running correctly, building and working with the Installs for the Products, Tech support and building and shipping all of our computers that we sell, and working with the programmers to make the software better, including finding new features and ways of getting them implemented. I would like to see if anyone else could do all of this and not have any complaints.

This is why we have the Forums, and state to use them as the main way of support. The posts are there, when you post it, you can then see that is in the forum. You know that if you can see it then we can see it. If you email us, it is possible that we won't get the email.

I am sorry that you have been having so many problems waiting on us, but we don't yet state anywhere that the Plextor 712 drive was supported. The only drive that has been supported is the Plextor 708 drive. If you had posted in the forums before you had purchased the drive, then you would have known that it would not yet work. If you want o purchase the newest hardware, then there is always a delay with new software to support that new hardware. This is always how the story goes, if you want the newest, then at some point you will pay for it or wait.

I am sorry for the inconvenience of this, but the drive will be supported in the next version of the software.

I am sure that Admin will post and tell you when it will now be released, since all the other features that he was planning for have now been removed as it seems from his other post.
