Microstudio doesn't recognise drive

Microstudio 2.517 doesn't detect my drive, a Plextor PX-708U
My system Windows XP Pro 512Mb RAM Intel Cel 2.4 GHz
ASPI 4.71.2 DirectX 9 Aspichck says OK DxDiag OK too
Microstudio 2.508 Demo correctly detected my drive!!!
How ironic is that !!!!
BTW the detect drives box is blank, it doesn't say that I have any
drive in my PC at all. I know it works because I can install software from this drive and watch DVD's on it and write cd's
Please ask if I've missed out any vital clues.

Try clicking on the Drives Menu, ASPI Drivers. Try changing this to whichever driver is not being Used. Once you do this, then click Ok and close Microstudio, then reopen Microstudio and then see what happens.

This should fix the problem that you are having.

That was the Adaptec ASPI, not the MTU ASPI. That program will only check the Adaptec ASPI drivers, and if you weren't trying to use those as I posted in the above post, it wouldn't show correctly.

Glad you got it working.
