I created a short 13 second file in which there is a clap and rumble of thunder, a short silence, then a chord. Why can't I create a cdg file with it? The music(sound)starts, then burbles incessantly where I made the splice or where there is a silence before the chord. The wave file is definitely 44,100. I was very careful to make sure that the file was the proper quality. I reprocessed the file at the right level a couple of times. Unfortunately, even though Siren Jukebox and other wav players play it just fine, KHP doesn't.

My words said "ACAPULCO'S KARAOKE IT'S FANTASTIC" I wasn't sure if I was going to use this exact file, but I at least hoped that KHP could create the file.

I need a file like this because the player at my favorite place "fades in" It only "fades in" after "hearing" some sound. The song I want to sing rather amazingly starts right off with the singer unaccompanied!! (Somebody was on drugs when they made the song). I can't make the normal sacrifice of notes caused by the "fade in". I'm hoping that if the player plays two tracks and starts with my file (as a cdg audio track) first, then plays the song, the player will "fade in" on the thunder, I will hear the chord, then be prepared to sing the right note to start the song when the song plays.

I'm frustrated that I have to figure this out. Can someone help me? Is the file too short? What is the shortest I can do?

Wink maybe to short

just a thought i found that if i tryed to use a short wav file for my khpro i came up with a khpro.exe fault error. the only way i got around this after numerus attempts was to import a full wav file of a song. Im not sure what length or how small you can go. the admn should know this.
but i think it has to be at least 30 sec or so. hope this is so type of helpfull info. topcattroy

Talking 2 seconds

I believe that the problem that you are encountering is that the KHP program reads-ahead 2 seconds. So in order to complete a 30 seconds CDG, you need 32 seconds in the .wav file.
Regardless, even if you hear a "gurgle" at the end, it does not make this sound in the final CDG copy.
