plextor px-708a

I have just purchased a new plex 708a and have downloaded
micrstudio suite 4 I am running windows xp on a dell xps gen 2
The problem I am having is Microstudio does not recognize
my plex or the samsung drive. I have installed the programs
and rebooted the system but still nothing.... I have read that
microstudio 2.508 is the only version that supports this drive
but when I downloaded it gave me the latest version (2.517)
can anyone help!!!

I am also running the plex 708a, with 2.517..... and it works.

Have you installed the drivers for the plex, and are you running it on a usb 2.0 usb bus?

Make shure you have all of the windoes updates installed.
