Help with Install

I actually have a couple of problems. I'd appreciate any help that is offered.

1. I recently purchased a laptop and a trying to set things up so that my songs are all on an external hard drive. I successfully moved the songs from my desktop on the hard drive but haven't been able to get Hoster to recognize the songs or the drive. Any suggestions?

I'll send another thread for my other issues.

Thanks,

JDGray

I believe that if you moved your songd to a diffrent drive, you will have to delete your songs.mdb in the database folder, then do a database rebuild. your computer is still looking for the songs in the "c" drive. If you installed a usb external hard drive and your computer is not made with the usb 2.0 standard, I suggest you also purchace an adapter card to give you usb 2.0 (it speeds up you hard drive access by 40 times. usually faster than the onboard hard drive. usb 1.1 is a snail next to this.

JdGray,
Click on the Help Menu, Read Manual. Look for the Item that states Rebuilding Song Database. This is what you are going to need to do, this is the only way to make Hoster find where you have moved your songs.
