Custom Marker In Play List

MTU may or may not someday add a feature to Hoster that will allow you to insert a flag or marker into the active play list. Until they do I am using a work-around that may work for you.

Locate a small .kma file in your library and copy it to a temp location. By
selecting a small file you will use less disk when saving your new .kma file.
Change the name of the .kma file. Give it a name that will likely never be
used by the manufacturer. Give the .kma file a track number of 21.
example:
Original File = TT069-16.kma (size = 1,328 KB)
New Name = TT909-21.kma

With a hex editor, edit the header information in the .kma file.
Change the CDG file name to the new one you have assigned (TT069 to TT909).
Change the BookID number to 121.
Change the song name to reflect your information ie. END OF ROTATION.
Save the edited file and copy the file to your .kma directory.
Start Hoster and build a songbook.
Open a new play list.
Add your new .kma track from your library tk# 121.
Select the track and click "Skip" (selection turns red)
Save this play list as EndRotation.hst (or whatever)
Now when you start your show, start up with the new EndRotation.hst file.
The "END OF ROTATION" line will be there and the line is
easy to see because of the red "Skip" message.
As you add songs to the list slip them above your message line.

If you have additional custom lines you want to add, use BookID's
like 122, 123, 124, etc. These numbers are easy to enter because your
hand stays in one area of the keyboard.

P.S.
Upon further investigation I find that the small file you pick must have the same manufacturer name as the disk that you have assigned to BookID #1. In my example TT069-16 would be renamed to SC7501-21 since my first entry in Hoster was SC7501, the first disk in the Foundation series. This will keep Hoster from assigning your new .kma file to the "next" slot in Hoster song DB.
