I believe that XP require ASPI ver 4.71.

Use attached File to check your ASPI version.

KH Producer

Hi Kjzone thanks for responding. I have ASPI 4.71 I had to install it in order to get the program to work at all, including my external cdrw drives. Can't figure it out.

I also want to thank you for your posts regarding excellent broadway and other midi/kar's. I still haven't figured out how to save them but maybe I am using the wrong program or something. I guess I need that Edirol program, maybe. How do you get it? Also, I tried searching and saving and it didn't work. Don't know why. Also, I have found a guy that has excellent midi that allows a right-click save. His name is Frank Schober and he has country, standards, German, polka, and many others. I especially like the polkas, as I have been unable to find them anywhere!!! Have you found a program that adds lyrics to midi and makes kar's? Does KHP so that? (I am a new user) thanks.

HERE'S THE LINK ON HOW TO SAVE THE BROADWAY MIDI YOU CAN'T RIGHT MOUSE CLINK ON AND SAVE.....ALSO READ HOW GEORGE FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO IT ALSO:

http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1463

TO USE MIDI IN KHP YOU MUST CONVERT TO A WAVE FILE, THAT IS WHAT ROLAND SOUND CANVAS DOES. BUT MORE, TO GET THE EFFECT OF THE FULL INSTRUMENTS USED IN THE MIDI FILE, YOU MUST RUN THE MIDI THROUGH A SOUND MODULE AND BRING BACK TO YOUR HARDDRIVE AS A WAVE FILE......THESE SOUND MODULES ARE ABOUT $800.......BUT ROLAND SOUND CANVAS DOES THIS "WITHOUT" GOING THROUGH A SOUND MODULE. IT'S WHOLE PURPOSE IS TO CONVERT MIDI TO WAVE WITH THE HIGHEST FIDELITY USING OVER 900 INSTRUMENT SOUND CODES THAT THE ORIGINAL MUSICIAN USED.

THE PROGRAM IS ABOUT $ 49.00 HERE IS THE LINK TO GET IT:
