Question Need Alt+ #### for symbols that will read in khp

Hello everyone!
Does anyone have a list of keyboard alt+ numbers chart? I am looking for different symbols that will work in KHP. I can't remember the short cut for the "EM" space that allows you to insert blank spaces.... Looking for the symbols of
Heart
Diamond
Clover
Club
squares
circles
stars
maltese cross
circled plus
circled minus
circled dot
circled dash
no break space or "EM" space
and most important
male and female symbols...
looking forward to any reply,
Thanks
Corbin

Fonts

Em space is in the KHPro manual.

These other font characters will require a second font, which KHPro does not support.

What you can do is get a font builder program and combine the characters you want, replacing some of the symbols with the character images you want to use. Then, open this single font into KHPro.

Currently, we are working on adding Unicode (double-byte) font support. This will allow extended fonts like japanese, korean, chinese, etc. to be used.

We also are moving toward support for the extended punctuation marks, and a way to input them from the keyboard, and import them from a wordpad or similar generated file.

Talking more fonts information please

Can you suggest a font builder program and combine program as well as a character replacement or symbol inserting program that is user friendly. I have searched the web and have not found anything that is written in plain english. Everything is "code."
thanks guys

Post Font Symbols / Program info

Hi Corbin,

Here's how you can accomplish what you need:

1. Get a font utility program from download.com (Font Creator)
2. Open "Character Map" under "Programs-Accessories" (may be under "System Tools"
3. Goto "Symbol" font (there you will find symbols for heart, club, etc)
4. Copy character to clipboard
5. Go back to Font Creator program - pick a font to modify and open it
6. Paste the symbol from the clipboard (Ctl+V)
7. Save the font
8. Use the modified font in KHP

In "Symbols" font, the Alt #'s are:

Heart - 0169
Diamond - 0168
Clover - 0170 (assume you mean "spade")
Club - 0167
squares - 0128
circles - 0183
stars ("Wingdings" - 0171)
maltese cross - ("Wingdings" - capital U)
circled symbols - look for "dingbat" fonts to use with FontCreator
no break space or "EM" space - 0255

male and female symbols... ("Webdings" - F @ 0129, M @ 0128)

Hope that helps!

Scoob
