cropping graphics

I am having a problem when trying to insert clip art graphics into KHP. When I crop the graphic to eliminate any of the white background, I still get the white background when I import the graphics into the title or credits page. I've tried coloring the background in the clip art and then matching it in KHP-but that's almost impossible. Anybody got any ideas on how to bring in ONLY the clip art w/o a background ?

Read the manual first...

I have never had this problem so I don't know what you are doing to cause it, but it can be circumvented. It sounds like the software you use to create it is adding a border, OR... the header on the file "indicates" it has a border when we import it.

1. Make your graphics the exact size required by CDG, in the KHPro manual.

2. Make sure there is no border when you save the image. Using the program you create it with, open it back up after saving to make sure no border is present.

CROPPING

Admin,

In response to your suggestion, the reason I freehand crop the image is to get rid of the 'border' or background and I always save w/o the background. Yet when I load into KHP, the background still comes up.

I tried to load one of YOUR sample images (the 'male singer')
and I still get a background of light green or turquoise ! Every one of your sample images produces a colored background of one sort or another. How can I get rid of it ?

I would like to use my own background colors-and perhaps change them for each song.

Never have this problem. Whatever changes I make in Paint are present when I load into KHP.When I want to change the background I make certain with the "pen" to make sure there are no openings for a new color to leak into the subject then I dump out of the bucket to fill the outside background whatever color I want. I'd guess that using White would give the effect of no background?? May try it later today and see.

George

Couple of hours later. Tried changing background to all white in Paint and it does appear as no background in KHP. I'd imagine this would not work well with "mottled" colored backgrounds though, just solid colors.
