![]() I just started playing with graphic images on the new version.
I saved an imported image that I got off the internet in two sets of colors,256 and 16. Is there any way to manipulate what colors end up in the background of the picture? I got different color backgrounds for each saved version of the original image. One was a blue color, one was tan. I can't see in the instructions if this aspect can be manipulated. Can it? Thank you. PS This new version is well worth the upgrade price. |

You might be able to open it into Windows Paint and change the background on the 16 color bmp
Hope it works out. take care, George |

Should be able to open it in Paint, click on the color you want, then click on that little paint can (looks like it's spilling)at the top left, then move the pointer to the area you want to color and click the mouse. That should color that area the new color. Then save it. You might want to use a different name, unless you want to replace it entirely. That should work.

![]() Here's what we did.
COLORS: We needed to leave 6 colors free when there is a graphic image. These are for background, border and singer text and sweep colors. Now, DO NOT ask any further about duet. It will appear when we implement it. Asking for it won't make it happen any faster. ![]() Also, we knew that the average Karaoke user won't have a graphics editing program and understand how to reduce the colors. Now you must learn how to do this for now. We should have used graphic color dithering to reduce the colors, which would preserve the overall image colors. If any of you know where we can get graphic color dithering algorithms, please let us know. Once we find and code one in, there will be a new release for free. ![]() ![]() If you edit your images down to 10 colors in 4-bit (16 color) mode, our algorithm should not change them, but I have not confirmed that with our programmer yet. ASPECT RATIO: The images automatically scale to fit the CDG resolution requirements IF... they are too large. This is mentioned in the manual, and it is not controllable. If you make your images the correct size, you know what it will look like in the Title and Credits Pages. ![]() |

To Admin and other responders
Thank you for your responses. So you understand where I'm coming from I'll give you a little of my story on this. I purchased two discs of good karaoke material by Disney. They did not include graphics. There is plenty of Disney cartoon material out there on the internet, and I thought it would be cool to use a picture as the title page for "I wanna be like you" from Jungle Book. I found Louie and Balloo dancing and it's a perfect picture. The graphic loses a little when put in a karaoke file but hey, I expect this. All CDG graphics look a little ragged. I was wondering if there was anything I could do that was known to others or that was in the manual but I just didn't see it.
I already know a little about "Paint" and will probably experiment a little in this program. To admin, I am not aware of pestering anybody about duet colors. If I have, I am sorry. Perhaps you were anticipating that my next questions would be in that area. Actually I am more concerned about duets where the singers sing different things simultaneously. In real-time sweeping, this would require more than one person programming. I have "A Whole New World" on my Disney discs and there are some simultaneous, yet different. singing moments. I have just figured that I would do what I could and let my nieces and nephews etc. live with it. This is , after all, a "home" producing program. Anyway, love your stuff MTU. Keep the hits coming. |
